When we went to the Hospital yesterday they gave Jed some white tights to put on. I was sad I didn't take my camera :) He didn't want me to take a picture of him so I am sharing the pictures they took during the surgery. It is so amazing what they can do.
You can see where the shoulder has torn away from the rotater cup in these pictures.

Another Christmas come and gone
I love Christmas. I love being with family. I love playing games, puzzles, eating, etc.... That is the highlight of the season for me. Presents I have a hard time with.
I was talking with Zoee one night and she said: "Grandma, if Christmas is Jesus birthday, why do 'we' get presents"? Good question.
There is nothing more special than homemade presents. For someone to use there time and talents for someone else is the best. This Christmas my friend Carrie made me this blanket.
I love it. She had taken pictures off my blog and put them on this quilt. I love the pictures, I love the blanket. So did I tell you that I love it!
We were so glad to have the Jones come over for Christmas Eve. We were so glad for there company. Christmas is so much more fun when kids are around.
Desi and Tim let Zoee and Evva open one gift up for Christmas Eve.
When ever we asked Evva what she was getting for Christmas, she would say "I'm going to be a butterfly". Isn't she a cute butterfly! Doesn't Zoee look so grown up. They are both so cute.

The Week Before Christmas
And all through the house....
Busy, but isn't that what it is all about?
Last week of school for two weeks :)
Lot's of Christmas parties, which means 10 lbs here I come. 3 dinners this week.
And trying to get into the Christmas spirit. I will have to say that it has been hard this year. Sometimes I feel that I don't have the inspiration that I need. Funny thing I learned this week is when Heavenly Father prompts you to do something, don't put it off. I worried all week about something that would have been taken care of if I would have just listened to my prompting and acted upon it. How blessed I am to have knowledge of my Heavenly Father and his love for me.
We had all of the leaders from my Stake, who work so hard all year round, come to dinner. I never know what to do to thank them so this was something that I felt I could do to show them my appreciation. We have got such a great Stake Presidency. That includes our amazing Relief Society, Primary, YM, High Councilors, and Gerald Ludwig who is an amazing cook. He should have a special calling of Stake Chef.
Pres Rushton is so good to work with. I am sure I drive him crazy with all my calls and whining.
Jed was at the Temple so I called on my two girls to come with me to the party. I just don't like going alone. I know I wouldn't be alone once I got there but, I like company.

My Dancers
Last week we got to go watch my girls dance. I was so proud of them as each one of them performed. They all looked so cute and did such a good job. It was fun to be there and to watch them.
This is Zoee

Catching up
For some reason it is always easier to talk about my birthday after the fact than around my birthday. I just don't like my birthday. I can't even tell you why, I just don't like it. The worst one was when I turned 30. I locked myself in my house and wouldn't answer the phone or the door for a couple of days. I must say I am getting better.
Just think, one more year and I can start going backwards. That is how it goes, right?
I have such a great family. Even if I don't want to celebrate, they do it anyways. Tim came over and cooked us dinner on Sunday. That is always a treat in its self. Then came out the cup cakes. I guess they needed more space for more candles? Can you believe all those candles? Ya, me neither. Just ask Evva, she will tell you I am still 21.It took me a few times with the help of the kids to blow them all out.
For Family Night we did the family tradition of Gingerbread houses. I wonder if mom knew what she was doing when she started this tradition. Can you (family) even imagine how happy she would be to see the easy assemble kits that you can buy now. She wouldn't have to spend days in the kitchen getting ready for that night. Okay, she would still do it from scratch. That was just her.
Look how cute!

YOUNG WOMENS THEME
We are daughters of our Heavenly Father,
who loves us, and we love Him.
We will “stand as witnesses of God
at all times and in all things, and in all places”
as we strive to live the Young Women values, which are:
Faith
Divine Nature
Individual Worth
Knowledge
Choice and Accountability
Good Works
Integrity and
Virtue.
We believe as we come to accept and act upon these values,
we will be prepared to strengthen home and family,
make and keep sacred covenants,
receive the ordinances of the temple,
and enjoy the blessings of exaltation.
• We invite Young Women leaders to immediately include this addition as they
repeat the Young Women theme.
• “Virtue” will be added to the Personal Progress value experiences and projects.
Instructions on how to implement this change in Personal Progress will be
forthcoming.
