With all the attention being on Evva this past week, I wanted to say something about Zoee. She has been such a good sport. I have been so proud of her. It is always so hard for me not to do something for both. I feel bad to leave one out but it hasn't bothered her one bit. She is such a good girl!
Zoee had a dance competition last Saturday and I went and took all kinds of pictures and then I did the famous......DELETE! I don't have any of the pictures that I took of her that day. I am so sad. She did so good and I was so proud of her. They took 1st "which they should have taken".
Because I lost all my pictures, Zoee let me take one today of her with her trophy.
Zoee, I am so proud of you. Good job.

This girl has had a busy week. Today she graduated from Pre School I was so proud of her that I had to share some of her graduation with everyone.

This is her class....
This is her teacher that she is going to miss. She has done such a good job helping Evva learn all her letters and numbers. Her favorite thing to do was to play. Oh yea, me too Evva.Good Job Evva :D

4 years old.....
I don't think a day goes by that I don't know how blessed we are to have this little girl in our lives. I remember the day they brought her home and stopped by the house on the way. I think that was yesterday. They sure grow up over night.
This little girl knows what she wants and the 1st thing on her list was a barbie cake. So I made her a barbie cake. "Hey Bishop, I want you to notice that she has on a modest dress. I took this picture just for you".
They had a get together down at the park by her house and we had cake and ice cream.Posted by Sonja at 8:05 PM 0 comments

It was only yesterday that we were sluffing 2nd period and going to postum....okay coffee. Talking about boys our future and our trials.... and then today I found us talking about our grown kids (WHAT)??and their trials and grand kids. Wow, can I just say that time has flown by.
I think it has been 10 years since we last got together. I was wondering where she was and then out of the blue my sister got a call from her daughter looking for my number.
Thank you Cyera for looking for me. It was fun to have you come today with your mom so I could get to know you.
Barbara was one of my best friends in school. I hope we will always stay close. We have let way to much time pass.

So lots has happened this past week. Timmy turned 30. I can hardly believe that. I remember my 30th birthday. I locked myself (and kids) in the house for 3 days. So glad 30 came and went! Tim took 30 a little better than I did. That was last Monday.....
Then it was Jeddys birthday (Jeds boy). I did tell you this was the month for birthday, right?
Then... Jed turned 50....yep I said 50 on the 17th. Of course we had to do a surprise birthday party for him. Black balloons etc..
I'm not sure what he was thinking when he came through the door but let me just tell you the days leading up to this moment.
I asked the Bishop if I could have Mark call and schedule an appointment with him to see the Bishop. I thought "oh, he will call him on Thursday night and Jed will run right up".
ummmm no!
He called him Tuesday night. Jed came home so worried. For 2 days he was worried about what the Bishop wanted to see him about. So Thursday came and he gets up to the church about 20 to 7.
Yes he was 20 minutes early.
People were trying to get in with out him seeing them. Jed saw Pres. Hardmans truck and started looking all over the church for him. Thanks to Tyler, he steered him back over to the Bishops office.
I then had Brad go and get them from his office to come down to the multi purpose room where we were all waiting. Yea, 20 minutes later.
The Bishop didn't want to be a part of my lie so he had to find something to talk to him about. I will have to say that I will always remember this day. Good friends! Good memories!
Pres. Hardman etched this picture. We love it!! Thanks to all of you that made this day so memorable. Thanks Lesa for all your help. You are so good to stay and help.
I wasn't there early enough to get the 'original' pictures in white. This is all I got, but he really did go through with it.These are the great missionaries that we have serving are area.

Easter
What a great day it was today.
I love Easter!
I love being with my family!
I love having our family with us at church!
We started out early on an Easter Egg hunt. (I know, it was Sunday but.....)
I have done this every year. Even for my kids as they were growing up. It's a tradition.
It didn't last very long, but they had fun while it lasted and it was so nice outside today.
The kids all came ready to go to church.
In there new Easter clothes.Watch out girls.......
Or should I say, 'stay away boys'.Then we came home for dinner and a little fun...
I kid you not, this is what happens at most family gatherings.
Derrik, we love you.
Happy Easter everyone.

So Birthdays around our family last for at least a week. A good reason to hang out with the family, right?
Today Desi had a birthday party for Briggs. We were suppose to go to the park but right at 10 am - it started to rain so we went to Tim and Desi's house
 Briggs really didn't care.

Conference Weekend
Every General Conference we go up to Mel's cabin as a family to watch Conference. It has been a tradition for many years. We all look forward to going....well ummm most of us look forward to going in the spring time.
In the spring time there is always a lot of snow. We have walked through snow up to our waists (I know, I am sounding like a grandma now) trying to get into the cabin and then to unload everything is always a challenge when we have to park out on the road. I will have to say when we knew it was snowing all week there were a few that were not looking forward to going, but we went anyway. It was dark by the time that we got there and the wind was blowing like you would not believe. No parking out on the road because of all the snow.
So we drove back down to Park City to see if we could find a good deal on a hotel. (I didn't want to brake tradition and come home). With this warm fireplace in the lobby and a perfect view of.....
a swimming pool, who could resist? We stayed.
While the men go to Priesthood, tradition is: SHOPPING :D The younger girls haven't quite caught the vision of this yet (they will soon though) they wanted to go back to the hotel and....
yep, you guessed it, go swimming.
I don't know about everyone else but I loved it! Getting to shower (cabin has no water in the winter). Not having to clean up after we were done. No mud. Yup, this was nice. "New tradition" Hotel in the spring time.
Oh but I can't forget this part. Jed had left some things up at the cabin a week before and needed to get it so we drove back up on Saturday. The road was ice and we couldn't make it up to the cabin so we pulled off into a parking lot and let the kids sled.Posted by Sonja at 3:22 PM 3 comments
