Thanksgiving

I am so thankful:
to be living in a free country where I can choose what I do, where I do and how I do it.
For my home where I have carpet, running water, flushing toilets, heater, air conditioner!! All the luxuries that I take for granite each and everyday.
For my husband that is always there for me. He is amazing! He serves and serves and never complains. (I need a little more of him in me).

He loves his grand kids and our family.

so grateful for the abundance of food, shelter and love that he works so hard for.

I am so grateful for my grand kids and in laws who I love so much. They make our family complete.

For my Children who make life worth living. Who stuck by my side even during the hard times.
For how they love and care for each other.

They always seem to stick up for each other and give each other attention when needed.

For the love that we have in our home.

Times may get hard but we always have each other.

I am most grateful for a kind and loving Heavenly Father that has watched over our little family and has his hands in our lives. I know that without his guidance in our lives we would not be where we are today. He truly is my life and my light. I have so much to be thankful for.
I hope you all had a great thanksgiving too.

Why go private?

Going Private

Okay, I am following the crowd. If they are doing it then so should I. Leave me your email if you would like me to add you to the list.

Thanks for spending the day with me.....

These are my girls. They keep me company when grandpa is away. I don't want them to grow up but if they do....I hope they will always stay "my girls".

5 times stronger...

We have some amazing Sister Missionaries. Because of there service our ward is getting stronger and bigger. We could never re pay them for there hard work and service.
Yesterday was an amazing day for us.

We absolutely love the Roberts family. What a great addition to our neighborhood and our ward family.

How we meet

Boy Meets Girl Tag

Everyone needs to do this one. It helps remind us all about what it was that made you fall in love. How did you meet your significant other? Answer all the questions HONESTLY and re post as "How I met _____"

1.Where did you meet?
Ya know, neither Jed nor I could remember the day we meet. “okay, so we are a little bit on the Alzheimer side of life” but it was a very long time ago-like back in the year 1972. He liked one of my friends and I remember thinking how lucky she was cause #1. he is cute! And still is! I do remember he had long hair and I 'for some crazy reason' liked long hair. #2 he was very polite and ya, a little shy.

2.What was the first thought that went through your head when you met?
Back to #1 again. Cute, polite, cute...

3.Do you remember what he was wearing?
I am sure he was in his Levis 501 jeans. We all wore those back in our day and look, they are still around. Hey and he still wears them.

4.Where was the first time you kissed this person?
See-I had to ask Jed that questions too cause I thought we had kissed back in the 8th grade but he said no, he was too shy. Yea, he was! So I am pretty sure he is right. I remember me wanting him to kiss me though. I am really surprised that I didn't kiss him. That just doesn't sound like me.(me not kissing him) Then going home to wait for him to call and instead of him calling me it was his friend Bob who he was with. Uummm yuk!! Oh yea, I guess I should answer the questions. I got a little carried away. At Impact

5.Where did you go for your first date?
Olive Garden and Barns and Noble book store. ( I guess we can't count the reception we went to together before that and my friend said “Where have I seen you before? Are you a stripper”). Ummm NO!

6.How long did you know this person before you became a couple?
Okay, so we are pretty slow at this. 34 years. And no I didn't have to ask Jed that one, I counted it on my fingers all by my self.

7.How did he ask you out?
I think it was something like “would you like to go out Friday night? I know, pretty original.

8.Has this person ever proposed to you?
Okay now, this is where we disagree (our 1st one ever) He said he asked me 3 times but no....it was only once. Do you really think that I would let him get away from me. I'm not that stupid.

9.Do you and this person have kids together?
Only if our grand kids count. He has 2 and I have 3 from previous marriages.

10.Have you ever broken the law with this person?
Oh my, do I really have to answer that question?

11.When was the first time you realized that you liked this person?
Hey, I liked him back in the 7th grade. I don't know what took him so long.

12.Do you get along with his family?
Yea

13.Do you trust this person?
Absolutely yes!!

14.Do you see him as your partner in your future?
YES

15.What is the best gift he gave you?
I would have to say life.

16.What is one thing he does that gets on your nerves?
When he doesn't know how to say no. (of course not to me)

17.Where do you see each other 15 years from now?
Still holding hands and watching our grand kids

18.What causes the most arguments?
We don't argue. That would be a waist of time. You know I would win.

19.How long have you been together?
11 years

20.Are you Married?
YUP- for eternity.

21. Who Do you Tag?
I think you should all do it. It was fun talking with Jed and getting those funny butterflies in the stomach all over again.

Super Saturday....

We had our Super Saturday today and I forgot my camera. I don't know what I was thinkin but memory is not one of my best traits. I am going to have to steal some pictures from Tracy when she blogs.
I had a lot of fun. I love visiting with the sisters in our ward. Each one of them brings so much to our ward. We have such a unique ward. That is what keeps me from wanting to moving.
Anyway......

I wanted to thank Desi for all your help today. As usual....she worked while I played. "isn't that why you have kids":) She is so talented! Oh and just a reminder, my blocks need to be done still. jk

Well since I don't have any picture to blog about I thought that I would post the tomato soup recipe for those who wanted it. I wish I could take credit for it but I can't. I got it from a dear friend that lived here in this ward about 6 years ago. Thanks Emily, we have enjoyed it.

2 tsp basil
3 c. water plus 3 bouillon cubes or 1 can chicken broth plus 1 1/2 cup water
1 onion, chopped
1 lg. can chopped tomatoes with juices or one can Italian style and one can tomatoes with jalapenos.

Boil above. Add 1 1/2 cup pasta and cook until tender. Ten minutes before serving, add (slowly) 1 cup sour cream and 1 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded.

Enjoy

Happy Birthday Isaiha

Look at this handsome boy. He is now 4 years old. His birthday is on Halloween. And he thought all of the fuss was all for his birthday-and that is okay. Most of it was for him. The trick or treating was just an special addition.
All his cousins came over to play with him. See Scooby doo Cheeze

Here is Isaiha dressed dressed up

Princess Zoee and Evva and we did change Isaiha into a mummy to go to Wheelers

We all took off and went to Grandpas work for lunch and trick or treating.

Wait for Scooby....

We stopped for pictures. Yea, ummm not fun for scooby, he was ready to go play.

Lunch at Wheelers

Isaiha wanted to stay with Grandpa so he ran and hide in the bucket.

I think he had fun

We then went shopping and got him his birthday and then back to the house for more fun. The kids loved the dry ice. They thought it was a magic potion.

See the potion?

Then we all took off trick or trunking and got a lot of candy

Ron came and joined us too. We all had fun.
