Derrik, Meagan and Tysen Peay.....Zoee & Evva Jones

Instant Friends

Sonja, our three-year-old, sat on the floor

Playing a game with a child from next door.

Friends in a moment's time, neither seemed tense,

Locking arms, after a smile, through the fence.

Laughing and shouting, enjoying each other,

Feeling as tender as each toward her mother.

It hasn't been long, Sonja counted each day

Since she left friends in Utah to sail for Norway.

Here with her parents all else seemed so strange,

A norwegian playmate; she welcomed the change.

"Sonja," I asked, "Did you understand

What your little friend said when she clasped your hand?"

"No, oh no, Mother, but she is so dear,

I am not lonely when she is here."

"Does she know what you say when you two play this game?"

"No, but it's fun cause we both laugh the same."

Grandma Myrle

Out of the mouth of babes:

Me: Zoee, I won't see you tomorrow because I am going to go to work.
Zoee: Well Grandma, you are just going to have to try and get fired!

We were driving in the car when Zoee said to me "Grandma, are you and Grandpa married.
Me "yes"
Zoee "Then you and Grandpa better get married over and over again until you have kids"

Desi and I were talking about Zoee needing to go see a Doc. cause we felt like there may be something wrong.
Zoee: Grandma, I know what to do.
Me: What?
Zoee: All I need to do is ask Heavenly Father and puf I will be all better.
