Girls Camp 2012

Ok, so I have a couple of random pictures but I had to add them. This one is so precious. Bailee and Tysen were out side just watching our ducklings.  So cute!

Do you ever think right before camp " I just want it to hurry and get over with" ? Well, I will have to admit that I have had this thought. I just wasn't getting into camp this year. Why? I have no idea. I just wasn't connected....until  LOL I got up there. Yep, LOVED every minute of it.

This is our Iron Chef Man that introduces our special ingredient for our Iron Chef. He did such a good job. He told me that he had a copy right on any pictures that were taken and that he had better not see it on Facebook. He didn't say anything about a blog.....Love ya man!
We had 128 girl this year and they were all just so amazing. Our theme was "Daughter of a King". We were each given a color and a value. The stake was yellow and love. ?? What ever. Red has always been love to me but one of our youth had to add the Beatles into it. You know "we all live in a yellow submarine - All we need is love love - love is all we need"  Don't ask!
Meagan is in Young Womens in our ward and was able to be with us this year thanks to a great "aunty Desi"
I can't even tell you how amazing our Stake President is. YEP, this is him lip-sinking to Carry
Underwoods "Jesus take the wheel".

Our YCL's this year were so amazing too. W cried and cried when camp was ending. We all bonded!

I can't forget Bishop Wheeler. Yep, the bunny. What a sport he is.
Here is Pres. Wardle doing "walk like an Egyptian"  Oh what you have to do when you are in a high calling.
LOL....Pres. Droubay was thinking Wardle was pretty funny. Not sure Wardle thought it was too funny.

There always seems to bee a camp song for the year and this year it was "What can make a Hippopotamus Smile" If you haven't heard it, come on over. I am sure between Meagan, me and the boy's we can teach you. It's pretty dang cute!
All in all I had an amazing time with some amazing people. The spirit was so strong that when it came time for testimonies there was not a single brake. If you wanted to stand you had better run for the front.  I think this was one of the best I have been to. I am sure I say that every year but really, It was truly amazing. How blessed I am to be able to be a part of that. My Heavenly Father really does love me!!

Last but not least:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our Meagan. We love you.

Now we have 4 little ducklings. I just cant get enough of watching in amazement this whole process.

The other mother duck came over and started to clean up the dead ducklings. So I guess they take care of everything.
Sorry about the shaky hands.
So I could watch this all day

Ducklings

Yesterday our first little duckling hatched. So Cute! We had fun last night just trying to watch her. It looks like the goats stepped on some of the eggs and we have a few dead ducks. We may still have 4 coming though.

I went out this morning to see the duckling but mom will not let her out, as hard as she was trying. I will wait for a little while and go back out and make sure everyone is ok.
We have a cat close by that is watching the ducks too so we are keeping a close eye on them.

Nature is so amazing!

14 Year Anniversary

14 year Anniversary Getaway

This last weekend Jed and I took off and went to Salt Lake City, Utah. Yep, you read it right. We filled up at Lake Point and when we returned today the gas was just below the full mark. It was so fun!  We left on Friday and checked into the Little America Hotel. Jed had never been to City Creek. (dang the bad luck)!  He always tells me that he would rather have his hand slammed in the car door than go shopping but hey, new mall, little money, who could ask for more.  I think he enjoyed City Creek (not so much the shopping) and then we went to Macaroni Grill for dinner. I had a gift certificate that I got for Christmas so we used that.  And yes we walked.:)

Saturday we got up and walked to the Temple. Had breakfast and then went through a session. What a nice way to start the day. When we got back to the hotel we both decided that we wanted to hike Ensign Peak. Oh wait!
Highlight of our Friday night shopping?
Harmon's! Yep Grocery store.
Penny was right.WOW that is a nice store. Ok back to where I was.
We stopped off at Harmon's for snacks and went and hiked Ensign Peak

No mud this time. Time to take the family back up for family night. It was fun!

We then went to Gateway (another hand slammed in the door) and we go a nice cover for my new ipad Jed got me. I haven't really dared use it for fear I would drop and break it. Now it has a nice cover :) YEP I am spoiled!!

Then we were drawn back to the Salt Lake Temple. We walked around the temple grounds and watched the little video clips and just enjoyed the atmosphere. It was nice to just be together.

After all the walking we had done we needed a nap so we napped ate and went and sat in the hot tub. I could really get use to this.

Sunday we got up and yes of course we went to the breakfast buffet. That was the best part of being at Little America. We ended our little mini trip by going to church over at our old ward in Magna. It is always so nice to visit and of course be with the Jones family.

Heavenly Father must really love me! I could not ask for a better husband!! He is so good to me. I just hope that Jed feels the same. I am so grateful to know that we will be together for eternity. Let see - another 14 years we will be 66.  Here is to another 14 wonderful years with the man of my dreams. I look forward to growing old with him. Happy Anniversary Jed!
