We have had such a nice Thanksgiving weekend. We spent Thanksgiving at Desi and Tim's. Dinner was sooo good! We had everyone but Jeddy this year. We were to bring the turkey but our freezer is so small that we had to wait to buy the turkey. So on Wednesday we went out and guess what....no turkeys. We finally went to Maceys and someone at the store ran into Salt Lake to get more turkeys. After waiting for about a half hour, they finally came and we went home. When we got to Tim and Desi's house.....we forgot the turkey. Oh yea. Tim had got one from work so we ate his turkey.

Friday morning Desi and I did the Black Friday shopping. It was so much fun. I don't really go for anything but to spend time and make memories. Which I did. I love spending time with Des.

Saturday we decided that we had to cook the turkey so we had the Jone's over for dinner. Then we had somores for dessert.

It was fun. Briggs liked them

but it got stuck on his hand. We laughed so hard.

he would shake and shake and it still would not come off.

All in all it was fun.

Look what I got :) Tim and Des got me a area rug.....I love it. I would keep the kids on top too.

To top it off...we went and saw "Blind Side" Very Very good!!!! A must see.
Hope everyone had a good thanksgiving.

This weeks progress report

Last week Andrew, Mike and Sam made 'normal' stairs for our back door which is so nice. I am sure that our neighbors are loving the fact that they do not have to hear us leave each morning as we walked down the ramp. I am loving them! .... the pink house will stay pink til spring. Yes, I am counting down.
This week Craig, Chad and Matt came and helped with our front steps. It will be nice to be able to use our front door where we don't have to worry if the stairs would collapse. Thank you guys for coming up 'again' and helping on a busy Saturday.

When they took off the old wood, we used our fire pit to burn up all the bad wood. It has been burning all day and it is still going. The wood is almost gone. It has been cold out side today so I have been standing by the fire to get worm.

Thank you so much to all that have come and helped. I am so blessed to be a part of such a grate family.

And for the inside....Desi made my sign to hang. We are truly blessed!

Temperate in all things

So this is the topic that I have been given to talk on in church next week. I don't know about any of you but for me, I usually have to live through the topic that I am given before I give it.

oh dear, I am in trouble. . .

Now I didn't say that I had to pass it with an A, but I would like at least a D-

oh dear, I am in so so much trouble. Any good suggestions?

I have got the most incredible family ever! My sister put together a work day to come over to our house and help us with our home. I don't know how I could ever thank them enough for all that they do for us, and do and do. We are so blessed.

There are so many things that we need to do and Jed has worked hard so it was nice to have "professionals" come help us out. Craig and Jed came up and pulled down and re-build a wall in such a short time. It would have taken us weeks.
They also framed in a closet that we needed.

Andrew, Sam and Mike pulled down our ramp and built us steps. How nice that will be to not hear the banging noise as we walk in or out of our home.
Plus, all the garbage that collects under the ramp is now gone. Thanks Janet and Helene!
Do you like the socks? Desi dressed to go to the dump with Jed.
Paul cut down one of our garbage trees that really needed to go.
They pulled down paneling 'yes'!

Wired electricity. Thanks Chris....thanks Paul for bringing him with you. We would love to adopt him in our family. Do you think he would go for that?

Put up light fixtures

and more lighting.
Desi made me some vinyl

I got sheet rock!
Did I tell you how much I love sheet rock?
Yes, I love sheet rock!

There were so many here to help us. I can't even begin to name them all, but I hope they all know how thankful we are for you. How fun it was to visit with my sisters, nieces, nephews and of course Tim and Desi who are always right there to help us ALL the time.

I am once again excited about our house. Oh and did I tell you how much I love sheet rock? My house even feels warmer with it up. If any of you have forgotten what this house looked like, I do have pictures on previous blogs. This house is not the same.
Thank you everyone who sacrificed your Saturday to help us. I know how busy you all are and I so appreciate and love you all. Thank you!
