Desi told me that I had to blog about this day.
I am sure it's so you can tell just how blond I really am.
Okay, for those of you that know me, my roots really were brown.
So I will get to that at the end of my day.......

Today was a very busy day for me. I had tons of things that I needed
to get done today.

First of all I had a sleep over with Evva or Evva had a sleep-over at grandmas.

Just look how cute she is. I just love them especially when they are sleeping.

Then I had to run to a youth committee work meeting.

We have the best youth.......
They worked very hard for our youth conference that is coming up
Of course we can't have a meeting without some kind of reward like Pizza.

Thanks Pres. Rushton!

I then had to run and get stuff for our seminary graduation and of course Desi's
birthday that is tomorrow and run back to Desi's house to go have our eye brows
waxed. I knew you all wanted to know that!

Then we had a wedding that I needed to get a present wrap and go back down
to West Jordan. Tim and Desi meet me at the reception place. First of all
they called me to make sure of the address. "like I read this invitation 3
times today". I told them the address and I was 20 minutes late getting
there. I pulled up and here are all these people out on the
balcony smoking and drinking. So I am feeling pretty bad for the grooms mom
about this point. Tim is like...." are you sure that this is the place"?
Me.."yes, I read you the address right from the invitation".
We go in...Desi signs the guest book. I recognize um....no one!
I finally asked a lady, "who's wedding is this"?

Yep....The reception is not until the 3rd of June.
So either I need to learn how to read or go back to school.
So here it is almost 11:30 PM...yes that is the correct time blogging.
What a crazy day.
I know tomorrow will be much better cause it's Desi's birthday.
I can hardly believe that my baby girl is going to be 25.
Maybe if I go to bed I will wake up and she will be 5 again.
Or not.......

Just to let you know.....All of the links are at the bottom of the blog now since I don't have a side bar on this template.

Memorial Weekend

I love long weekends. Especially when it means time
with the family. Briggs had the right idea......

I had asked Jed to help me with a YW project. He decided that
he really needed to get that done, so he went to the store and
came home with shelves for the garage. So he cleaned out the garage.

Earlier in the week we worked in the yard. It sure feels good to
get some things done. I had to hurry and take pictures cause I
really don't have a green thumb. So hurry and look before all the
flowers die.

Everything looks so green because of all the rain. Even if we didn't get to go swimming.

Tim came over with his new girlfriend. Her name is Sara.
I really like her. She seems like a nice girl. I enjoyed
spending time with them

And yes, Miss Evva rang the door bell and Tim opened up the door....
SUPRISE. Okay, not for most of you that have been at McDonalds with me
when she has stipped. No she still has not out grown that stage. I sure
wish I knew who told me that she would out grow this stage.

Of course Tim cooked a great meal. That's another highlight for family get togethers.

Wayne came and joined us for dinner and family night too. It's fun to have him join our family.

Blessing of the Gospel

Today in our church we had a missionary talk to us.
She started her talk by saying some of the reasons
that she was grateful for being a member of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
It brought tears to my eyes (okay for those of
you who know me know that it is not hard for me
to cry. I do believe it runs in the Peterson family,
you know hereditary). It was very powerful for me to
hear this today and thought that this was something
that I really wanted to do too. But before I do, I
thought I would just say how powerful this missionary
is. I am at aw of her testimony and spirit she carries
with her especially because she has only been a member
of the Church for 2 years. WOW!

I am grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints because:

1.I know that I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father who
loves me.
2.I know that I am here on earth for a reason
3.I know that I can pray to my Heavenly Father anytime
4.I know that I can ask for a priesthood blessing when
ever I need.
5.I know that I will one day, return to my Heavenly Father
6.I will one day be with my Mom and Dad again
7.I know that if I live a righteous life, I will be with my
family for eternity
8.I am to be able to attend the Temple and feel close to my
Father in Heaven
9.I know that this is the true church
10.I know that President Monson is a living Prophet
11.I know that Joseph Smith is also a true Prophet
who restored the gospel in these latter days.

With the knowledge of all these things that I am so
grateful for, it helps me be a better person, mother,
wife, friend and example. I pray each day that when
people get to know me or watch my actions, they will
know that I am a member for the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-Day Saints and that I do stand as a witness
of Him at all times, in all things and in all places.
I am so grateful to my parents who brought me up in
the Church and were examples to me. I am grateful to
a daughter who stands for truth and righteousness and
is a great example to me. Who took me by the hand and
lead me back to the church along with my sweet brothers
and sisters that never gave up on me and always showed me
love. For my children (all of them) that gave me a reason
to go on. I am so blessed.

You Rock Justin

He found all the quotes that I need from the "Trail of Hope"
Thank you Justin
Do you think your mission President would mind if I called you when I needed things?
JK

Looking for Trail of Faith Quotes

For youth conference this year we are doing
a city of Nauvoo. If any of you have been
there, they have a street called the
"trail of hope" or "trail of faith".
Along this street there are a bunch
of markers with quotes on them. If any
of you have a copy of these quotes or
even just some, would you let me know.
I would love to have some going around
our little city of Nauvoo.

So it has been a while sence I have updated
on life at the Richardson home. Time just
keep going by faster and faster and the next
thing I know, I am wondering why others have
not updated their blogs. MMMmmmm I guess I
had better worry about updating mine.
Mothers day was so nice. Tim, Des and
family, Derrik, Meagan and Tysen all came
over and Jed fixed breakfast.

We had Biscutes and grave. MMmmmm they
were very good!

Meagan had to work but the rest of them went
to church with us. I really miss having a whole
bench just for our family so it was very nice
to have them with us.
Zoee even had a new dress that she
loved, so we had to take a picture.

The best part of any mothers day is having
the family come over and just hang out. I
love my family! Thanks guys for making this
day so special.

This last Wednesday was the last Wednesday
that Desi is off work. Starting tomorrow she
is back to work. Man does the time ever fly.
We were able to spend a little time together
on Wednesday doing a little shopping and hanging
out together. Check out Evva with her moms glasses on.

Desi did up Zoees hair so cute that we had
to take a picture of it. Of course, the paper
doll had to join her. She colored that by the way.

I still get to have my Wednesdays with my girls
and boy now. Wow, I sure hope he likes to shop too.

The highlight of this week of course is our
fireside we had tonight. Bro. Curtis Jacobs
came and spoke. Cat....I took a picture of him
just for you.

Of course he did an amazing job. We had a
pretty good turn out. I could have listend
to him all night. Of course we had refreshments...Hi Tia

Something that I learned today at church that
really stuck with me was....We had a returned
missionary speak to us and she shared how when
we pray most of us say "help us to be able"
(okay, yes that would be me) as Zoee would say
"hello" I am very able. Now what do I need to do.

How blessed I am! I have a great family, friends,
husband, the gospel and I am very able to do
almost anything that I put my mind to do. I hope
all of you have a great week and always remember
"you are able" to do.

You are invited to

Fireside Tonight

For any of you that are interested in "the best ever fireside" tonight...

Bro. Curtis Jacobs will be speaking to us at 7 PM in the 2700 building

This is one fireside you don't want to miss!

He is my favorite youth speaker ever.

Did I tell you he is the best?

So it sounds good anyways!

You Are Snow White!

Pure and trusting.
You are a gentle soul who can get along with just
about anyone. Everyone you meet instantly falls in
love with you. How can they resist? You have a pure,
lovable nature that's irresistable. Just don't trust
everyone who comes across your path.

Prom 2008

So I will have to say what an honor and
privledge it is to be able to serve these
youth. I would not pass up a moment like
this for anything in the world. I am so
greatful to Desi's Tim for all his work
and knowledge of preparing such good food.
He fixed them the best tasting Chicken
Fetticini for dinner. It was very good.

Check out how nice they all look. I will
always remember this night.

Justins Mission Call

So I thought that everyone had been told
where Justin was going to go on his mission.
I am so sorry Sharon, that was not very nice
of us. He is going to:

TAMPA FLORIDA
He leaves for the MTC on July 16

I am planning on having a "Missionary Shower"
for him.....
Okay a "MAN PARTY"
Pres. Rushton said that I had taken away his
man card with that shower stuff.

So any of you that are wanting to help him
prepare for his mission~
I am going to go talk to Mr Mac's to see if
we can have some kind of a registry set up
so we know what he needs. I have a list of
items from his Mission President that I will
use. Maybe I will post his needs. MMMMmmmm
I love blogs.
This will take place in June.

What a great weekend we had. It started
out Friday night going to the temple with
our ward. It was fun to have Justin with us.
When we were standing in the Celestial Room,
one of the temple workers came up and
talked with Justin to find out where he
was going to go on his mission. Then he
said "don't worry about the noise you hear
as you leave, it will only be 'as he pointed
to Jed' your dad remodeling your room" We all
got a kick out of that. Doesn't bother me one
bit that they would think he was our son.
Justin just laughed and said something
about the carpet where he lays to watch
TV on Sundays may be replaced by the time
he comes back or maybe even a new couch.
I liked that idea.

Saturday morning we got to go watch Zoee perform
at a dance competition. She is so cute! She got
another trophy and a perfect score of 100. It
is so much fun to go and watch her. It does bring
back a few memories of Desi when she was dancing.
Zoee, I am very proud of you!

Sunday was Briggs blessing day. I always love
getting together as a family to go to church.
All my kids were there.

I love to listen to our children bare their
testimonies. It is such a powerful feeling to
know that they feel that same peace of knowing
that the church is true as I do. Tim gave
Briggs a sweetest blessing.

I am so proud of Tim and Desi. They have such
a cute little family, beautiful home with a sweet
spirit. We are so blessed to have another
sweet spirit added to our family. Briggs is
such a good baby.

And I couldn't even answer 2 of the questions...

I'm not sure if my favorite time in my life was when I was 14 but it was fun to see.

You Belong in 1974

Bold and brash, you take life by the horns. Whether you're partying or protesting, you give it your all!

Grandma Peterson's Oatmeal Cookies

1/2 cups water
Raisins Boil 3 min.

1 tsp. soda Add to raisins

1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar Cream
3 eggs

3 cups oatmeal
3 cups flour Mix
1/2 tsp saltspices (cinn., nutmeg)

Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 min.

I thought I would post this for all
Mom's grandchildren and children to have.
I don't think I have ever had any raisin
cookies that were this good. But ya gotta love raisins.

Oh~Brings back memories!

I am still looking for her cinnamin roll recipe.
I will post it as soon as I get it.

Thank you Janet
