Chucky Cheese

Yes, we celebrated Evvas birthday for 3 day.
I think that is something that Derrik started.
Oh wait, Derriks is a month. He still has her
out done.

I just have to say ditto to what Desi said
about how blessed we are to have her here
with us. She is a blessing. I too remember
the day we found out that she had heart problems.
You would never know it by looking at her.
She has done so well. She brings such a zest
for life.

Happy Birthday Evva

We had such a fun day with Evva. We took
her to toys are us to pick out her birthday
present. She knew what she wanted and she
wanted it now. We tried to get her to look
at other toys. Ok, she did like the $300.
Escalade but when I told her "no" back to
the dress ups we went. She wanted to carry
it to the check out to make sure we didn't
put it back on the shelf and wanted it opened
before we left the store.

We let her ware her princess dress out to
eat breakfast. She really liked that.
We went to Ihops and had them sing Happy
Birthday to her. I have never seen a 3
year old turn as red as she did. They all
got a kick out of her.

How fast time goes by. I remember the
day that she was born. Wasn't that just yesterday?

Happy Birthday Janet

Yes, April is the month for birthdays.
This is my sister Janet.
You may already know a little about her
from my previous blogs. Thanks to her I
have all these fun pictures to show you.
Okay...so she may never give me pictures
again~but I love them! And I love to show them off.

She is such an amazing sister.
She has so many talents but the ones that
I have recognized the most is her homemaking
skills. My mom was the best bread maker
ever....and Janet has learned that from
my mom. (That's one of the many I wish
I had learned) Her home has always been
clean and organized. She cans every year.
She has always been very sensitive to those
around her and always willing to serve. If
I remember right, she was the homecoming Queen
at BYU. So yes, not only beautiful on the
inside, but the outside too.

One year I was heading down to Texas with my
3 kids to see my sister Susan. We made it as
far as Greenriver, Utah. (not much to do in
that little town. They couldn't even get a
part for my car for a week) We ended up having
the car towed back to Price and thought our
vacation was ruined. WRONG...Janet and her
family took us in and we had the best time
ever. They took us down to goblin valley
and entertained us while our car was being
worked on. That ended up one of my best
vacations we had taken.

My Heavenly Father has blessed me in so
many ways. I would have to say my Family
has been one of the BIGGEST blessings of
them all. I hope they all know just how
much I love them and how grateful I am for them.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Janet

Welcome Home Liz

Wow, what an amazing missionary she is.
Yes, still is. We went to Provo today
for her welcome home and what an amazing
testimony she bore. The spirit was so strong.
I can just imagine the impact that she has
left on Spain.
Spain will never be the same.
Liz, your a truly amazing. How blessed we
are to have you in our family. I am so proud of you.

After church we went over to Susan and
Marks to visit. It is always so nice to
be with family. The kids all went down
stairs and played in the play room under
the stairs. And yes, Evva had to take
off her clothes~but she did have something
on when she came up stairs. A nightie or
something like that? They didn't want to
leave when the time was up. So yes, they
have a little Peterson in them too. Tim
(Desis husband) has always given us a bad
time about the Peterson good bye cause it
is always 1 hour or so long well......I just
want to set the record straight now, MMmmmm
Tim and Desi stayed longer than we did. (tee hee)
I think he may be just a little converted.
It was very nice to have my husband with me
too. What a great day this has been.

Yes, I have blogged tons this past two days. I guess that comes when
your husband is always gone. Just think, you will have lots to read
when you get board.

Zoee had her dance compatition today. She did so good. She has
been talking about a trophy for a long time now....and now she has one.
I just had to brag for a minute.
Isn't she cute!!

Happy Birthday Susan

April for us has really turned into "the birthday month" and one of my goals is to make sure that I remember them. That seems to be Hugh for me the older I get~remembering them.
I know I have said many times that I have an amazing family, but I really do. Each one of them has touch my life in so many ways. The example they have shown me are great. So I just want to share them with you all, just a little at a time.
Today is my sister Susan's birthday.
I remember as a little girl her coming down and reading 'brar fox and brar bear' to me. I loved it! She always told the best stories. I think she got that from my mom cause I remember mom telling stories too.

Susan in 1956 Isn't she cute!

There was a time in my life that my parents were worried about some of the choices I was making (I know that is very hard to believe, but true). Susan and Mark were living in Arizona at that time. We went down to visit for thanksgiving and I was left there. Being a teenager, I thought my life was being ruined. Little did I know what a blessing it was for me to be with her and her cute family.

If someone would ask me if I knew a perfect family, I would have to say "yes, Susan and Marks". I don't ever remember her raising her voice to her children, and she has 8 of them. Mark served in the army so they moved like every 3 years all around the world. They have served as Mission President in the Rochester New York Mission and are now serving in the MTC presidency and Susan has gone back to school at BYU. I am proud to say that she is an A student. (she didn't get that from me).

I would have to say one (yes just one) of her greatest accomplishments is her family. Talented, loving, giving, beautiful and all very active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Their baby girl Liz just returned from an honorable mission in Spain. Welcome home Liz.

See, I really do have an amazing family.
Happy Birthday Susan. I love you!

Jeds Birthday

I know that I am a day late, but I wanted to blog just for a minute about my husband. He is one of the biggest blessings in my life. Many of you already know that we have been friends since the 7th grade ~ What ever took us so long, I will never know. But I will tell you that he was worth the wait.

Things that I truly admire about him are:
He is the most humble man that I know.
He loves our Savior.
He tries to follow his example.
He has so much integrity.
He serves and serves and serves.......
and cute too!!

He is the best father to my children.
I knows that they love him so much and he truly loves them.

He is such a hard worker.
He is honest, kind and giving.

Besides all that~He is very handsome and soooooo good to me.
Jed, I love you!

Timmy is 29 today

Wow. I can't believe it. 29 years ago today I was blessed
with a 8 lb 13 oz little boy. How excited I was to have him
in my life, but at the same time I was scarred to death.
Seeing that tiny little boy and knowing that I was the
one who would be responsible for him. I remember
that he was born on yes.....Friday the 13th, C-section.
All the Nurses and the doc was giving me a bad time
about having him on this day. And no, it was not
planned that way. It's crazy thinking back and realizing
that it was 29 years ago. He has grown into a big
teddy bear. I hope he will always know how much
I love him and how grateful I am to have been blessed
to have him in my life. Happy Birthday Timmy.

Briggs Kevin Jones

So I am not done showing off the newest addition to our family yet. I am sure you will see many more pictures. When I was taking his picture, he was getting mad because the light on my camara was so bright. He would have his eyes opened and then the flash. Oh well.

They are finally home and doing good. Tim and Desi are such good parents. It is fun to watch them with their cute little family. Man, where does time go?

April is a busy birthday month for us. Timmy will be 29 tomorrow (okay, once again~where does the time go)? I guess that means I can't claim to be 29, especially when they start passing you up in years. Jed and Jeddy both have birthdays (on the same day) and then our little Evva turns 3. Wow! How great is family!

He is finally here!

7 lbs~19" long born today at 8 AM. Everything went well. Desi got a little sick when they brought her out but all in all she did great. She said this was the easiest one yet. Look how beautiful he is. Yes, he has '2' dimples.

The girls got up to the hospital about noon. Zoee was so excited. It was hard to talk her into coming home with me. Evva didn't mind leaving cause little brother didn't care if she took off with his new teddy bear. So what's his name? We don't know yet. I will let you know as soon as we hear. We are just waiting for Grandpa to come home so that we can take him with us to see him again.

Sunday, April 6, 2008

As I was listening to the TV after conference, Elder Ballard said
"May I ask that you join the conversation by participating on the Internet…to share the gospel and explain in simple, clear terms the message of the Restoration,".

What a great way to express my feelings and testimony to each of you that read my blog.

I have been a member all of my life but, I was only converted about 12 years ago. Now as I think back, I always knew that God lived. I always knew that Jesus was the Christ and my Savior~even when I wasn't living the way that I knew I should be living. I have always believed that I am a Child of God but I didn't understand the meaning of why we are here and the importance of the Gospel. (okay, so I am a little slow). But there is a difference in just being a member and being converted...So are you converted?

How blessed we are to have the scriptures in our lives. Both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. To be able to read about our Saviors example for us to follow. To read about the prophets of old and to feel the spirit of the Holy Ghost testify to my heart that what I am reading is true.

Do I believe the Church is true? Absolutely!
Why? Because I have prayed and received a calm and peaceful feeling.
Do I believe in the Restoration of the Gospel? yes, once again I have prayed and I know that this church is true.
So do you believe in the Restoration of the Gospel? Do you have a testimony of Joseph Smith? Do you know that he was a prophet of God? If not, I challenge you to find out for yourselves.

I believe that we have been given a perfect example for us to follow. We could all be better people if we were more like our Savior. This world would be a better place to live. We wouldn't have to be afraid to let our children play out side of maybe even trust each other or our neighbors if we could all be a little more like our Savior.

I testify to you that Pres. Monson is a true prophet. He is here to lead and direct us. I testify to you that the church is true! that our Savior lives, that he loves each one of us. He wants us all to return to home to our Heavenly Father one day. He wants us to love and take care of each other. I so testify this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

So if any of you have not received an answer in your heart that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true, I urge you to pray, fast and read the scriptures so that you too can receive that answer for your self.

False Alarm

Desi called me this morning around 5:30 a.m. wanting me to take the girls so she could go to the Hospital. Zoee was so excited because she thought her brother was coming today. We came up to my "new office" and she made her brother a card...

Miss Evva just hung out and played dress ups. She found an old clown outfit that I wore years ago. Off came the cheerleader outfit and on came the clown outfit.Of course the camera had to come out!

Then their dad called to tell us they were going to give Des a shot and send her home. Stinken Doctor, doesn't he know that we were all ready for baby brother to come. Well if he doesn't decided to come today, he will be here Monday morning for sure. I guess we can wait for 4 more days.
